Kirsty has been writing, script editing and script producing for over two decades.
She has written for both adult and children’s television including The Family Law, Mustangs F.C, Wanted, Dance Academy and House Husbands. Kirsty was in-house development coordinator at Burberry Productions for two years and was later part of the Playmaker Media showrunner initiative, Scribe. Kirsty has also mentored on New Zealand initiative Script to Screen’s Episodic Lab.
Kirsty recently wrote on Surviving Summer for Werner Film Productions and Netflix, and on The Lost Flowers of Alice Hart for Amazon and Made Up Stories. Kirsty wrote on Deadloch, the Kate’s latest endeavour for Amazon and Guesswork, due for release in 2022. Kirsty also wrote on The Messenger for Lingo Pictures and the ABC.
Kirsty script produced and wrote on The Family Law (S1-3) and the dystopian narrative comedy series, Creamerie. Creamerie won the New Zealand Television Award for Best Drama Series in 2022.
Kirsty co-created, co-produced and co-wrote the award-winning comedy series, Laid with Marieke Hardy. Kirsty and Marieke have teamed up again on a new project that has been optioned by an international production company.
