Lucy is one of Australia’s most well-known leading ladies with major roles to her credit including Glinda in Wicked, Sophie in The Letdown (Netflix/ABC), Princess Fiona in Shrek The Musical, Roxy in Sisters (Netflix), Elle Woods in Legally Blonde (for which she won a Helpmann and Sydney Theatre Award) and Chantelle “Tugger” Waugh in Doctor Doctor (Nine).
A WAAPA graduate, further screen highlights include playing Katie Halloway in Now Add Honey (Gristmill), Michelle in Upper Middle Bogan (ABC), Officer Hernandez in How To Stay Married (Ten), Judy in Here Come The Habibs (Nine), Cherry in Goddess(Wildheart Films), Nicola in The Moodys (ABC), as herself in Get Krack!n’ (ABC), Rose Walker on Neighbours (Ten Peach), Stephanie Coopes on Home Alone Together (ABC) as The Cactus on The Masked Singer (Ten), a judge on Australia’s Got Talent (Seven) and as the voice of Daisy Quokka’s Mum in animated feature film Daisy Quokka: World’s Scariest Animal.
Other stage highlights include Sarah in Touching the Void (MTC), Glinda in The Wizard of Oz (GFO), Sybil Chase in Private Lives (MTC) as well as Peggy Sawyer in 42nd Street , Lois Lane/Bianca in Kiss Me Kate, Laurey in Oklahoma! and Miss Dorothy in the Australian Premiere of Thoroughly Modern Millie (all for TPC).
Lucy has sung the national anthem at AFL Grand Final, The Melbourne Cup, the State Of Origin, at the V8 Supercar Rally and alongside the Royal Anthem for the Queen herself when she last visited Australia. She has sung in concert with the SSO, ASO, WASO, PSO and QSO, is a regular on Nine Network’s Carols By Candlelight and Seven Network’s Carols In The Domain, features on albums ‘Lucy Durack’ and ‘Witches, both for ABC Music. Her show My Soundtrack was the ABC’s most downloaded radio show for the five summers of it’s run, her screen writing debut Lift premiered on Ten Peach, winning Best Screen Play Asia Web Award and Love in Lockdown, which she stars in and co-wrote, won the AACTA Award for Best Online Drama or Comedy.
